Mohammad Shami was born in 9 March 1990 in Sahaspur village of Amroha, uttar predesh India. His father Tausif Ali is a farmer from Profession. His mother Anjum Ara is a housewife. Shami,s wife Hasin Jahan. They have a daughter Aaira Shami. Who was a fast bowler in his youth days. Shami has a sister and three brothers,all of whom wanted to be three fast bowlers. in 2005, when the U-19 team of Uttar pradesh was not included, Shami's coach Badruddin sent him to Kolkata where Shami was the first Dalhousie athletic club to play again for the town club. After joining Bengal Under-22 team, Das sent Shami to Mohan Bagan club. One of the top clubs in Bengal. In Eden Gardens, Gangoli looked at Shami's bowling skills and told the selectors to " Take special care to him". Immediately after this, Shami was included in the Bengal Ranji team in the year 2010.
